Iran: Oil to Future Nuclear Fission Power
What do oil and nuclear have in common? IRAN. Yes, but the right question to ask is HOW and WHEN will they use them? If data the new oil, then nuclear fission is the new power.
“When the George W. Bush administration took office in January 2001, it seemed more likely to take a softer line on Iran than a harder one. American oil companies widely favored lifting the sanctions, and the background of many Bush administration officials in the oil industry (the President included) led many to speculate that they might do so unilaterally.” – Kenneth Pollack
From Big Tobacco to BigOil&Gas (BOGs) to Nuclear Power, political manipulation of the markets continues.
BigOil&Gas (BOGs) blame others saying “humans contribute to climate change” but say no alternative. CEOs, American Petroleum Institute (API) and Lobbyists use fear saying dependence on foreign countries can “weaken national security.”
CEOs and API pointed to Russia, South America, and Iran. Where was this fear back 20 years ago? “By September 11, 2001, Iran policy was officially “still being studied”…it became clear that Iran was not going to be a target of the war on terrorism, at least not at first. Instead, Iran was going to be an ally.”- Kenneth Pollack
Others say dependence on foreign countries can “harm economy.” Really? Where was this fear back 40 years ago when US opened its Los Angeles Port and Port of Long Beach to China? But wait, one of you call yourself British and another is from the Netherlands?
The BOGs argue that they are “reducing dependence on foreign energy.” Do you think Israel questions dependence on US? The Start-Up Nation and its Defense Forces benefit economically and militarily. L’Chayim, my brothers and sisters.
Hmm, independence sounds like a paradox. Security vs peaceful economic stability. Another Two-State Solution? Prime Minister, really? “Israel will defend itself by itself.” I’d like to see you tell that to Iran. Or, the Prince and his Kingdom.
In any case, it’s clear the people are “damn if they do or don’t” – nuclear fission or fossil fuel.
