Wish to Quench Your Thirst? Jump Into the Sweet “Fountain of Youth”
Thirsty? Cheers! Here’s to Sparkling Smiles and Sweet Early Influencers!
Amazing what one can do with bottled water or soda. Top model Cindy Crawford’s image is said to have sold billions on the idea of drinking “Pepsi.” Sure blondes have more fun? We sharp, sexy and gorgeous Brunettes have millions of fans.
Speaking of models, I’d like to see Tom Hardy offer a toast with nothing more than his “Warrior” boxing shorts and a glass of Scotch – aged 12 years! Tommy, te atreves? See my sparkling smile! 🙂
If 2020 will be known as the year of the ‘War on COVID’, then the near future will be known as the century of Water Wars. California proposed a way to “keep tabs” on the “water wasters” by having people launch online reporting. Isn’t this a job for City Code Enforcement? Right, I hear from contractors you’re seriously understaffed and outsourcing work of city inspectors.
Governor Newsom, was this your idea of “see something, say something”? Highway messages of ‘conserving water’ not working? At best, this type of reporting is but a “drop in the bucket.” At worst, neighbors policing neighbors is divisive and can lead to dangerous confrontations. Tempting another recall Gavin?
Hey Gav, if you’re serious about waster waste how about contacting the Professional Golf Association (PGA). Better still, how about massive industrial toxic dumping in waters? We are living in a time when not only is water unsafe to drink thanks to lead pipes and other toxins but also baby formula is reportedly found to have “heavy water toxins.”
Hell, what if you discover that several cities’ water systems have been compromised? And that your appointed entourage didn’t share this info. Guess you could plead the Fifth calling it a breakdown in communication.
Some say soda is not good for you. What about drinking water bottled in plastic? Well it sure beats drinking water from lead pipes.
Death and long term sickness came to many due to lead poisoning from the water in Flint, Michigan. One of many examples of CORRUPTION at all levels. Or, what their former Governor calls “breakdown in state government.”
Adding insult to injury, countless critical infrastructural projects arising in large part from City and State failures were delayed or cancelled on account of COVID-19. Right, officials didn’t let a crises go to waste.
Biden administration doled out billions trickling to agencies at all levels. But if no one is working the projects, what are these City and State officials planning to do with the funds? Let the money sit until they can find another racket to get their hands on it? Shit, whose city is next?
Joe, you speak of climate change being an existential threat, a “clear and present danger.” Better ‘pick your poison.’ CLEAR? Corruption at all levels. PRESENT? Lead contaminated water system in several cities in Michigan. What of the 49 other States?
Reported in The Guardian, “The Biden administration on Thursday announced a “whole of government strategy” to remove dangerous lead from Americans’ drinking water, including billions of dollars to begin replacing 100% of the lead pipes servicing the nation’s homes.”
BUT, there’s a catch! Like most government projects, they’re CONveniently running it through long “red tape.” Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) noting a weak federal standard critiqued the “pipeline-replacement timeline, potentially allowing lead contamination to continue for more than a decade.”
Seems to me “sloppy Jo” and Dems timelines for change are closer to 2050. Hmm, wonder which will kill people first, toxic water, toxic air, fires, famine, disease, or ‘climate change’? For now it looks like Another One Bites the Dust ☻Resignations & Slayings.
As more crises are sure to come, products besides weapons are being stockpiled especially as natural resources continue to be depleted. Backup? Desalination. Visited the deserts of the Middle East? Meantime, beverage industries may contemplate an alternative to water.
Powdered liquid formula? Sounds contradictive but having tested the first “power bar” I imagine astronauts on the International Space Station are working on the first “power water.”
Not fans of bottled water & soda Queens? Call celebs “sell-outs”? But if you’re buying then that makes you “buy-outs.”
In 30 years we went from having a “Coke and a smile” to “got milk” to dependence on bottled water and plastic, especially credit cards. Sure bottled water is ideal for victims of war or natural disasters.
Yet, man-made disasters of lead and toxic dumping have led to excessive bottling of filtered water or “spring water.” In turn, plastic bottle dumping continues to cause land and water pollution. But not before toxic gases from manufacturing of plastic bottles and other containers is expelled into the air.
Still, to be fair, the industry reminds us that they don’t make a lot of the products we buy. They just make them possible. Similarly, government doesn’t make a lot of problems we have. They just make them possible.
Fossil fuels made electricity possible. Centuries of carbons and pollution has led to X-treme temperatures. And in turn requiring increased heating and cooling. More electricity means more fuel.
It seems to me we’ve got ourselves in a catchy-22. And we’re all riding this fossil fuel – energy – pollutant – X-treme weather – fossil fuel – energy – pollutant ….. “merry-go-round.”
Some are focused on a dangerous invisible future while major culprits have been pledging to “fix it” since the 1970s. Others are facing clear and present danger – “food insecurity,” homelessness and huge debt from inflation.
Yet, when it comes to plastic, isn’t the real culprit the colorful plastic in your wallet or purse?
Rest of the world? People are dying daily trying to get their hands on fuel, food and shelter for their families. They have no homes. They have no credit cards. They have no vehicles. Only the clothes on their backs and their babies on their chests.
Will our Future hold a lot or a little to smile about? Man having reached the Moon may reach beyond the stars. Yet, dry recycled waters of the earth will do little for you, save die of thirst, as we cry to quench our eyes for sweet drops.
Will your quest for sweet pure water lead you to behold youth from her Fountain Head? Real question is, will you drink or will you die smiling in vain at a fountain of vanity?
Still, we Brunettes along with our fans will be having fun jumping into the fountain! Cheers Tommy! Forget water….
“Pour some sugar on me
C’mon, fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
I can’t get enough
I’m hot, sticky sweet”
