Geoengineering, purposeful manipulation of Earth’s Climate, takes over control of the weather from the splendor of “Mother Nature” or the glory of “God” and places it at the hand of Man. Unknown factor, or calculative risk, naturally accompanies engineered solutions to the new problems created.
Electricity is generated at the hand of Man for his earthly living comforts. Augmentation of nuclear reactors to infuse exponential power into emerging technologies for space exploration equipment and for wars deadly arsenal is generated at the hand of Man for controlling energy yield and conquest.
Energy of the Sun is synthesized by the Splendor of Earth’s creatures creating and growing life. Human, one in billions, is on a path to destroy it.
E Power Earth (EPE) highlights the implications of Earth X-Treme FLUX© →Affliction to humans, extinction of earth’s creatures and environment.
EPE proposes targeted penalties (carbon tax) and restrictions on the corporate sector. Government funded and sanctioned public/private key measures including nuclear power and renewable energy designs need to be revealed to the public. Reexamination of policies and enforcement of laws to address X-Treme FLUX are crucial.
Corruption, as Contamination, has been found in some corporations’ R&D and Technology transfers from some universities. The business of science goes back decades to industries like Tobacco.
Faculty at university obtain grants funded in large part by industry. In their quest to attain tenure and endless funding for their schools, professors research papers focus on presenting “discovery” of the negative effects of a product on the population. How a company uses the data is deemed inconsequential to the academic.
A 2007 “Energy Biosciences Institute: Highlights of the Master Agreement” stipulates:
“The EBI is a collaboration between the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and BP to promote, coordinate and fund research in the newly created field of energy biosciences…Funded by $50 million per year for 10 years from BP.”
Opponents argue “The prospect of giant carbon polluters directing research related to and gaining control of key energy technologies is very troubling – especially when the research is conducted at, and the technologies are developed in collaboration with, public institutions…”
Private industry and University pacts are mutually beneficial. IP & Patents for Business and Financial gain for Academia.
“As is standard practice in UC and most corporate-sponsored university research agreements, BP will have the first right to negotiate an exclusive, royalty-bearing license in the energy field…to IP rights owned by UC, UIUC or Berkeley Lab that arise from BP-funded EBI research. BP will be able to sublicense its rights to other companies…employ the technology in operations of BP affiliates and its qualified joint venture partners.”
What has changed since 2007? In a January 22, 2020 paper 5 Corporations Off Campus: Time to Expel BP and Monsanto Emma points out:
“Fossil fuel corporations are notorious for buying up clean energy patents. After buying the patents, they will claim “We now have people working on clean energy.” The problem is: the few “clean energy” projects they actually roll out are so small and at such a slow pace, they are meaningless. This is called green-washing, and it is a trick invented by PR firms to allow polluting companies to fool people into thinking that the company is “green” now, even though they can continue to pursue their carbon-based bottom-line.”
Manufacturers’ executives and Technology corporation founders’ pledges and goals for the future do not reconcile with their incessant warning to the public of “not getting left behind.” Constantly affirming their pretexts for eliminating positions arguing that “the future is now” as they advocate “net zero emissions by 2050” exposes their failures and hypocrisy now, in 2021.

“Monsanto/Bayer has done the same thing out at UC Davis, where Monsanto/Bayer uses cheap graduate student labor to create genetically-modified seeds and organisms, with the corporation keeping the patents and deploying these organisms in a way that creates company profit without regard to massive starvation and farmer suicides in India, Africa, and around the world.”
A wall of shame will not deter biofuel or fossil fuel profiteers. Governments not executing penalties proportionate to the “blood on their hands” are complicit.
California’s 1996 “Electric Utility Industry Restructuring Act” was an attempt to curtail market manipulation. Ultimately leading to an electricity crisis of blackouts and bankruptcies. Problem stems from countless blatant conflicts of interests.
Governor of California, Gavin Newsom (the same public servant reported to be dining with lobbyists among others in a restaurant unmasked after ordering the closure of small businesses) sits as President of the Board of Regents of the University of California. Are members appointed by the Governor serving the interests of the People of California?
Americas to Africa to Australia, Earth temperature fluctuation produces rapid extreme levels of freezing and warming. Extremities in climate adversely affect humans on islands, coast and land.
Temperature is at times associated with high heat and disease, but temperatures can fluctuate from extreme heat to below freezing C⁰ degrees causing water pipes to burst increasing power demand from outmoded energy sources.
Increasingly, humans are being subjected to antiquated or inoperative water or power plant sources. Yearly cycling of such events naturally creates uncertainties exacerbating regions of economic instability.
Negative ripple effect on farmlands falls on the food commerce sector. Islands are unprepared for hurricanes as States seeking shelter from mass fires. Forests continued susceptibility to fires and proximity to people and homes increases their danger, rendering them powerless and/or homeless.
Geopolitical forces promoting self-serving agendas by nation leaders and authoritarian governments that work against the people are compounded by private interests. Alliance of both creates servitude and sickness amidst a growing environment of toxic “black holes.”
Peoples’ aspirations for a “greener” future have clearly been usurped by the very same culprits who continue to create the problems of fossil fuels. Emma asks, “Was BP really trying to profit from developing biofuels, or did BP seek power to hide clean energy patents away and to stop that technology from getting into people’s hands?” It appears the only “green” these companies are interested in are green dollar bills.
Capitalization of Nuclear Power has been paramount for long-term investors, no matter the costs. “TAE Technologies was founded in 1998 to commercialize safe, cost-effective fusion power as quickly as possible and with the cleanest environmental profile. With more than 900 issued patents, over $750 million in private capital…” How does TAE define “cleanest” and “clean energy?”
Clean or “quick and dirty?” Let’s have the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, Director General, whose self-proclaimed “job is to be the clear watchdog” offer his assessment.
Alas, the “Black Holes” in the Universe may be no match to the toxic ones created on Earth. Idea of building a “safe” nuclear reactor for the development of a feasible power station continues to elude man.
“Acts of God” or Human error, the U.S. Three Mile Island, Soviet Union’s Chernobyl, and Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant explosions have not deterred renewed interest. Instability due to X-Treme FLUX orchestrated by carbon emissions or geoengineering invite future disasters.
